Based on the novel by Nina Bawden. The enchanting story of 14 year-old Carrie Willow and her younger brother, Nick, who are evacuated from London to a small Welsh town during World War II. They are sent to live with the strict Mr Evans who runs the local shop and his sister, Auntie Lou.

The children soon settle in and meet all of the characters that live nearby including Hepzibah Green, Mr Johnny and the wonderfully extravagant Mrs Gotobed. But then Carrie does the most dreadful thing she can think of...
