Recorded live at the Stables Theatre, Milton Keynes in June 2007, Pam
performs her comic poetry, stories, and observations on life.
Pam
Ayres has been a professional entertainer for over 30 years. There is
no other contemporary entertainer whose career was established by
writing and performing comic verse. She was awarded an MBE in 2004 for
services to Literature and Entertainment, and continues to perform sell
out shows across the globe.
As well as performing to live
audiences, Pam has been a regular contributor on BBC Radio over the
last ten years. Most recently Pam has become a regular contributor to
Radio 4, on such programmes as Just A Minute, Say The Word, That
Reminds Me, and two series of her own Ayres On The Air, with a third
series due next year.
This one woman live stage show includes a mix of brand new poems and monologues, and some classic pieces including the 'The Wonderbra', 'Sexy at Sixty', 'I'm Ready Mr Prescott', and the brand new 'Pension Poem', all delivered with a joyful, wicked sense of humour which captures Pam Ayres, recently turned 60, at the top of her game.
